Event Description:

Join us for the 22nd Minnesota Minerals Education Workshop! The MMEW is an annual three-day workshop focusing on the geology and mineral resources of Minnesota. It has been held in various locations throughout Minnesota since its inception in 1997. After a full day of short courses on the first day, you'll get to embark on two days’ worth of field trips to local sites of geological interest.

Highlights of this year's field trips include:

  • Tours of peat harvesting, processing operations, and restoration;

  • Tours of an iron mine; and

  • Rock and fossil collecting opportunities
