Job Description
Nutrition Assistant: Prepares, portions and serves food attractively for patients, cafeteria, and special events. Properly operates, cleans & sanitizes kitchen & cafeteria equipment, tools, and utensils. Strictly adheres to infection control guidelines during food handling to prevent food contamination. Communicates cheerfully and effectively with patients, customers, and co-workers whether in person or via telephone. Carefully follows Dietary recipes, guidelines, and departmental policies. Cook: Prepares, portions and serves food attractively and at appropriate temperatures for patients, cafeteria, and special events. Properly operates, cleans & sanitizes kitchen & cafeteria equipment, tools, and utensils. Strictly adheres to infection control guidelines during food handling to prevent food contamination. Communicates cheerfully and effectively with patients, customers, and co-workers whether in person or via telephone. Carefully follows Dietary recipes, guidelines, and departmental policies. Behavior demonstrates teamwork, high professionalism, and practices standards of quality commercial food production. Keep production area organized to assure a smooth workflow. Organizes food inventory, control food production to minimize food waste, and prepares breakfast in cafeteria incorporating variety and attractive, well prepared choices.
